Geelong’s Eastern Beach

There’s so much to see and do on Geelong’s famous Eastern Beach. It’s free, it comes with fantastic views, the atmosphere is of a charming seaside esplanade and there’s heaps of activities available, what’s not to love?

Of course there’s the iconic bollards all along the peaceful walking path, created by local artist Jan Mitchell, each has a hidden rabbit to discover, you can imagine what a hit this is with the kids. Fantastic photo opportunities abound and you can either experience the whole walkway or just join at a specific place. Walk, ride or rollerblade along at your own pace.

Let the kids play in any of the great parks or have a relaxing picnic or family gathering at the fantastic facilities.

There’s places to quench your thirst and sate your appetite with great cafe’s and restaurants scattered all along the waterfront.

It’s only a short stroll over to Easter Beach Botanical Gardens where you can relax amongst the flowers – an inspiring natural space.

It’s close to the city centre and is a great place to see the boats. There’s lots of history to discover as well. Almost every weekend something interesting will be happening whether it’s a market, a triathlon, a bike race or a sailing event, the list goes on.
